Nine Network - Programs and Schedules

Law & Order: For the Defense will air on Thursdays on NBC followed by SVU and OC. It is interesting to see if Nine will acquire the rights to For the Defense.

For Life, which is streaming on 9Now and also aired on Nine last summer, has been axed after two seasons, but production company Sony Pictures TV will shop it to other broadcasters.

Not particularly interested so far in For The Defence, will see when they announce the cast if that changes.

Too many Law and Order shows.

The Law & Order franchise has been the mainstay of NBC’s primetime programming for the past 30 years, it is unlikely to change in the near future.

Big week for Nine with 4 season premieres - 3 local.

Only Celebrity Apprentice gets the 7.30pm stripped reality treatment. Success for Emergency and Weakest Link will probably be reliant on how well the apprentices perform for Nine.

A Perfect Planet is a five-part earth science series presented by David Attenborough with the first episode broadcast on 3 January 2021 on BBC One. Episode 1 is Volcano. BBC promo:

Solid schedule from 9, not a huge fan of stripped Celebrity though.

Credit to the network though for having a fairly consistent post 8:30pm schedule through the year.

So Law & Order: Organized Crime is off the schedule altogether. It is going to be a long wait for L&O fans to see part 2 of the crossover.

Rather than giving Sydney and Brisbane viewers the chance to catch up on episode 8 and 9 of Space Invaders on TV (they were pre-empted due to Super Rugby grand final and live NRL), Nine is going to the next new show (A Perfect Planet), forcing them to see the two episodes on 9Now.

Solid schedule overall.

They could encore the season on 9Life for a filler if they wanted too. The didn’t treat Space Invaders well enough for a season two I think. We’ll just have to wait and see.

According to yourtv online guide, it will now be a new episode of Law & Order: Organized Crime (s01e05), i.e. part 2 of the crossover with Law & Order: SVU.

Too much Celebrity Apprentice. I have a feeling it will flop. It should just be one or two hours a week at 8:30pm.

I had to look up who Alan Sugar is . I wonder if many Aussies even know who he is .

I think they should have gone with someone local , not sure who though.

They probably think putting a former MAFS star (they say she is a social media influencer) in the show will help the ratings.

I vaguely remember Alan Sugar from when the UK version of The Apprentice was shown on Seven (I think) around the late 2000s, but of course I remember all sorts of things about Australian TV/media that most of the general population wouldn’t!

Pretty much, isn’t her biggest claim to fame pouring wine on another contestant’s dress?

Think you might be referring to Cyrell, who isn’t on this show.

Ahh, well in that case I stand corrected. Maybe it was Martha who got the wine poured on her dress, either way not a particularly interesting “celebrity” IMO! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m guessing Donald Trump wasn’t available?..

…or original The Apprentice Australia presenter Mark Bouris? Don’t think he’s done anything on TV since “The Mentor” flopped on Seven in 2018!
