Haven’t all the late night chat shows stopped production because of the writer’s strike?

I remember when Letterman paused due to the ‘08 strike, we ended up with classic episodes for a while including some in original 4:3 (pre-widescreen days). Was a good watch. Wonder why they are stopping the repeats now with Colbert rather than using the over five years’ worth of catalogue.

I read somewhere Stephen Colbert just signed a new deal in June and the EPG still lists it on 10Peach, or are they repeats?

They’ve been repeats for a number of weeks now due to the writers strike.

10 are stopping them as of this Wednesday (from memory). Assuming it will stay on Peach because it is a repeats channel

Have they changed their mind about putting Bold on at 4.30 Friday?

They should keep it consistent at 4.00pm everyday. No idea what they’ll put at 4.30 on Fridays.

What’s Up Down Under could air

The Late Show has be airing repeat interviews etc for months due to the Writer’s Strike. I guess that the ratings aren’t good enough and it better to fill up the schedule with dram repeats instead.

Ratings at 1am in the morning wouldn’t be much more than those in an emergency department every night.

Quite honestly, there might not be that much difference screening infomercials at that time than repeats of The Late Show. Perhaps classic Letterman episodes would rate better than the Colbert ones.

The Late Show rated quite well with new episodes and was very competitive especially in demos. Even in repeat mode last night there was a descent audience; a lot more than any infomercial and higher than what was on Seven (Village) and Nine (Tipping Point)

It’s amazing how Ten can get the actors of an American soapie to make a specific promo for them but they don’t do the same for their Australian programs.

That Sunday schedule single-handily ruins their momentum for the rest of the week.
