Seven News (Regional Qld)

Like anything, there’s a huge supply shortage of TV equipment at the moment.

I find that the quality seems to be less from around 8 April - black bars appeared top and bottom and picture quality went down IMO.

Some caps from 8 March

It’s good to see they have reverted. Hopefully the other regions follow suit soon and return to include the region name in the VOs. Unsure why you’d drop it in the first place.

The opener is shorter.

Picture quality if back to normal tonight - no black bars.

Unfortunately the cut down Brisbane bulletin that follows still looks as bad.

I asked the techs on Wednesday about the arrival of the new HD gear, they have no idea unfortunately.

Just saw Elly Wicks on a 7News Segment for 7NEWS Toowoomba (6pm local edition), isn’t she meant to be the weather lady on GWN? Couldn’t get screencaps in timw.

Same company?

Wrong thread, but she left Prime7 the other week. Looks like she has moved to 7 QLD

So, 7 redeployed her to another regional market for news reporting, I guess.

The text size used OTS during 7Qld regional news is way too small compared to the rest of the bulletin/brand. It’s been like this since the new graphics were introduced.

Yuck. PRIME7’s version looks way better.

Penny McKinlay’s gardening segment got a huge national exposure on The Cheap Seats tonight, in a new segment called Crop This.

A well overdue upgrade. Looks like the graphics are still SD though?
