With coverage of the ATP Cup finishing on Nine early today, an episode of Tipping Point was inserted at 3:30pm.

Filling in each late night with Chicago Med gives Nine’s programming team credit for having about as much imagination as Ten’s.

Presume Nine’s Perth schedule (which will be very unpredictable and some may be pre empted) as the tennis has wildly varying finish times, will just be old movie re-runs?

I remember a telecast early in the tournament in Nine’s first year went until around 2am with Bec Maddern (so would’ve been 11pm Perth - so the Perth schedule wasn’t even needed - hard to believe)

I won’t be surprised if they end of changing it during this week

Two new US series premiere for Nine next week, neither particularly good based on critics and viewer reviews.

Labour of Love is a reality relationship show also described as a “dating game show”. Perhaps notable for the inclusion of sperm testing of the contestants.

The show is hosted by Sex and the City actress Kristin Davis and stars former The Bachelor season 11 contestant Kristy Katzmann. Over eight episodes, 15 men will participate in challenges and dates that test their parenting and personal skills. Those whom Katzmann finds satisfactory will advance to the following episode, and at the end of the series, she will decide – with the help of Davis – whether to choose one of the men to start a family with or not.

Note that Nine has changed the spelling from Labor Of Love.

The Equalizer premiered in the US as the Super Bowl lead out and stars Queen Latifah and has a Metacritic score of 56 from critics and a 1.0 from viewers.

Good to see Nine still pursuing ‘quality’ programming :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Even just going by the title, “Labor Of Love” sounds like one of the dodgiest television programs ever produced! :scream:

Surprised Nine is not using the launch night of MAFS to show the sports special of Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

It is co-produced by CBS Studios and Universal Television. Nine acquired the series as it is distributed internationally by NBCUniversal Television Distribution.
The first episode (which had the Super Bowl lead out as posted above) had 20 million US viewers and a 18-49 rating of 5.0.

Surprised this isn’t directly after MAFS.

MAFS asking viewers to commit to 105 - 110 minutes (if not longer) for the show’s first three nights is a heck of an ask

My TV Guide says Nine News is at 6:00PM - 8:11PM which is weird lol

With Amazing Grace premiering on March 3, that suggests Thursday will be the new regular night for The Equalizer (subject to live NRL coverage in Sydney and Brisbane).

Labour Of Love

Tuesday 23 February 10:15 pm

Labor of Love is the story of a woman’s journey to motherhood. She is in her early 40’s and is ready to start a family but has not yet found the love of her life or the father of her children. She is aware of her biological clock and knows that she knows that she can have a baby on her own if she so chooses, but she would like to have one last chance at finding love before committing to starting a family by herself.

The Equalizer

Wednesday 24 February 09:15 pm
Thursday 25 February 09:00 pm

This action-packed reimagining of the classic series stars the multi-talented Queen Latifah as Robyn McCall, a mysterious former CIA operative who draws upon a vast range of skills to defend innocent people in desperate need of a helping hand. Robyn may appear to be an ordinary single mom who is busy raising her teenage daughter. But when injustice arises, she takes covert action as The Equalizer, an enigmatic vigilante who evens the odds and brings justice to those who need it most.

It’s a timeslot filler due to the new NRL season starting the following Thursday.

Looks like Tipping Point is out of the Saturday night schedule. I wonder why - is it not rating well in that timeslot?
