The Voice

With the contestants disappearing until Carols time, will we be seeing Richard Marx collect a Logie next year for Most Popular New Talent, for his role on The Voice? :stuck_out_tongue:

This season seemed to suffer against The Block that grew its audience. Running the show up against The Block final this year that produced a season-low may have been a mistake.

The overnight average of 912,000 was down on last year’s 984,000.

Some people still love The Block and there is very little Seven can do about it.

I think The voice lost momentum with the Block finishing strong on Sunday’s. Especially since it was semi finals that I think when the ratings started being down.

Seven need to air something against the Block, they can’t just give up and hand more viewers to it. I think all things considered, The Voice ratings are still ok considering how many seasons there have been and the competition.

I didn’t watch much of this season but I did watch some of Cle’s performances because I remembered her from the first season of Australian Idol. I thought she was amazing from what I saw but I can also see why she wouldn’t win a public vote as she’s a bit different.

Seven has found a ‘working’ combo of Voice + MKR against The Block. It’s kept them above the water so they’d be mad to replace it. I’m more concerned about what they have for the end of the year and the middle patch that they keep padding out using shows like 1% Club UK.

Well they have MKR for 2 more weeks (5 episodes) - 3rd, 4th, 9th, 10th & 16th. Probably a filler on Tuesday 11th.

But I’m not sure what they can have for 17th & 18th. Then the following week they have Ashes 21st

According to the schedule posted by TVCynic yesterday, the filler on the 11th is a repeat episode of The 1% Club.

On the 17th will be the FTA premiere of Jimmy Barnes: Working Class Man and on the 18th will be the premiere of NBC special Wicked: One Wonderful Night (see Seven Network programs thread).
