The Voice

I didn’t really like any of the contestants performances but thought Ronan’s was good.

Will the other judges be performing as well this season?

Yeah, they did all seem to be rather weak.

Virginia Lillye, rock singer and a contestant on season 9 of The Voice in 2020, has died. She has been battling ovarian cancer since her diagnosis in 2023. Virginia was a member of Team George and made it to the top 20 Showdowns where she was eliminated.

Meet The Voice Grand Finalists -

She’s got The Voice!

An all-female Grand Finale with Alyssa, Bella, Cassie and Cle

Tonight on The Voice, breathtaking performances and soaring emotions took the Semi-Final to new heights as artists from Team Kate and Team Ronan vied for a life-changing spot in the Grand Finale, airing 7:00pm next Sunday on Seven and 7plus.

Alyssa Delpopolo from Team Kate and Cle Morgan from Team Ronan will join Team Melanie C’s Cassie Henderson and Team Richard’s Bella Parnell in a historic all-female Grand Finale.

Ronan Keating faced his toughest decision yet after Cle and Ellaphon Ta delivered standout Semi-Final performances. The superstar Coach said: “They both gave me an equal performance. Everything I asked of both of my artists, they gave me. Me being me, I went and chose two artists that are emotional performers. I wear my heart on my sleeve when I perform – that’s what exactly these two artists do.”

Cle earned her place in the Grand Finale with a spine-tingling rendition of Counting Crow’s Round Here, edging out Ellaphon’s heartfelt performance of Anywhere Away From Here by Rag’N’Bone Man. Ronan called Cle’s performance “next level.”

A stunned Cle said: “It’s bittersweet. I’m feeling really proud.”

Alyssa, who originally joined Team Ronan after being discovered in the audience and later persuaded by Kate to switch teams following the Battles round, secured her Grand Finale spot with a powerful delivery of Raye’s Oscar Winning Tears, triumphing over Sienna Langenheim’s take on Fleetwood Mac’s Go Your Own Way.

Kate praised Alyssa, saying: “Alyssa has a gift. She’s just outrageously good at singing. To watch her grow through this process and learn how not just to be a great singer but to tell a story, to communicate with the audience, to make it about connection, bringing people on a journey, all of that, I just couldn’t be happier.”

An emotional Alyssa added: “It doesn’t feel real. I’m absolutely so grateful to be here right now. I want to thank Kate for giving me a second chance

There was a tribute to the late Virginia Lillye before the preview of the grand final, but it lasted three seconds.

Alyssa and Cle spoke to 7news website after the filming of the second semi final.

According to Cassie’s interview with The New Zealand Herald, she would perform three songs in Sunday’s grand final, two solos and a duet with her coach (Melanie C). I think the other three grand finalists would do something similar.

Grand Final delayed in SA, we get voting is closed overlay.

Maybe one year they should bring back all the Voice/X Factor/ Idol /AGT winners for a Christmas medley lol

I was surprised to hear Sonia announcing Alyssa as the winner. I thought Cle or even Cassie would take out the title.

Reading the comments on X last night, someone pointed out that Alyssa had a profile on StarNow website. That profile mentioned that she was a student at JMC Academy in Sydney. Sure enough, JMC reposted the winner’s announcement on Instagram.

Cle sings with too many trills and ruins songs with those vocal gymnastics. Cassie and Bella were equally good singers.
