The split timings on the final race last night were exactly the same on Sky as they were on Seven, and Sky had the race finish time, so they are at the very least getting their timing from the same source. Even if it is unofficial, they could easily label it as such and still show it.

Turns out they could put it on the main channel for once.
Still odd that they could cut one hour off TMS compilation in Brisbane but not 30 minutes in Adelaide.
(Update: This is actually why.)

World class cycling returns with Santos Tour Down Under
Live, free and exclusively on Seven and 7plus Sport
The Seven Network today announced the return of the Santos Tour Down Under (TDU), with the nine-day cycling event kicking off on Saturday, 17 January, live and free on Seven, 7mate and 7plus Sport.
Adelaide will welcome the world’s best cyclists as part of the highly anticipated UCI WorldTour sanctioned event, with the men’s and women’s races marking the start of the international cycling calendar.
Seven will once again boast an all-star commentary line-up for the event, including the international voice of cycling Phil Liggett MBE, former Australian professional cyclist Robbie McEwen, and resident cycling expert Mark Beretta.
New to Seven’s commentary lineup in 2026 will be recently retired Australian Olympic Gold Medallist Grace Brown. Brown retired in late 2024 after time trial gold at the Paris Olympics, time trial and team relay wins at the UCI Road World Championships and victory at Liège-Bastogne-Liège. She is also part of TDU history, having won the women’s race in 2023 in emphatic style.
Brown will share specialist insights during women’s racing at the TDU, joining fellow Seven commentators as all UCI Women’s World Teams contest the event for the first time.
Brown said: “I’m really excited to join the commentary team for the women’s race at the Santos Tour Down Under. The event is a hallmark of the Australian summer of cycling and keeps stepping up as a race on the Women’s WorldTour calendar.
“I have great memories of winning here in 2023 and it’s awesome to keep my passion for the race alive now on the commentary side. I can’t wait to be among the buzz of cycling in Adelaide as the winning storylines of 2026 unfold.”
Viewers can also look forward to coverage from former professional cyclists Gracie Elvin and Robbie McEwen, with Weekend Sunrise presenter James Tobin back on board to capture a variety of action along the race route.

The 2025 Santos Tour Down Under featured over 50 hours of content and was viewed by over 2.6 million Australians across Seven and 7plus Sport.
Seven Network Head of Sport – Digital, Kirsty Bradmore, said it was a privilege to showcase Australia’s premier cycling event to audiences nation-wide and celebrate its global significance.
“The Seven Network is incredibly proud to continue our long-standing broadcast partnership with the Santos Tour Down Under, an event that has become synonymous with world-class cycling and South Australia’s summer of sport,” she said.
“In an exciting first for fans, audiences around the country will be able to watch the Men’s Prologue live on Seven and 7plus Sport in 2026. The evening time trial around Adelaide’s Victoria Park will be an exhilarating test for all riders and we’re thrilled to bring it to a national audience, live and streaming free.”
The 2026 TDU will cover a total of 1,154 kilometres and include a number of historic firsts, including the longest ever women’s race and two passes of the notorious Corkscrew climb, plus three ascents of Willunga Hill for the men.
The Santos Tour Down Under will take place in Adelaide and regional South Australia from 16 to 25 January 2026.

From 11.30am AEDT on Saturday, 17 January
FloBikes have it if you have the sub plus a VPN
Via Willow?
They carry the 7 feed as the preferable choice (i.e. only taking Fox if the game is exclusive to them).
I have also seen a lot of “Seven’s Broadcast Sponsors” billboards.

Seven has mishandled pretty badly this afternoon with NFL.
On the left, 7mate in overtime. On the right, Seven (watermarked 7+) with a standby feed as kickoff is delayed to allow the previous game to remain in attention.
(That game is also fed live to spectators in Lumen Stadium.)
They should have just moved overtime to Seven and be done with it.
Good to see a playoff game on Seven’s main channel, I think only the Superbowl normally gets main channel exposure?
Equivalent game last year was also on the main channel in Sydney and Melbourne.
Patriots vs. Broncos confirmed for 7am AEDT next Mon.
Seahawks vs. Rams will follow.
A promo for LIV Golf 2026 shown during the BBL final tonight.
Now confirmed as Patriots vs Seahawks.
