Yes, 9 do update theirs until about 10:30, depending on Late News or not. If there is Late News then local updates go until 9:30ish10, then national thereafter.
I think Seven do an update recording at 7:30/8.

That one is kinda different than their southern counterparts. I mean, they promote breaking news in between programs as a selling point to keep them watching. Not gonna beat the sensationalist formula Nine News has in Brisbane to win, but at least they have something to up the edge.
