Series return Tuesday 6 September 10:00 PM
10 Years Younger is back and it’s bigger and better than ever. Each episode follows two contributors per episode who are desperate to turn back the aging-clock but have no idea how to do it. Guided by new presenter Cherry Healey and a panel of experts, the contributors undergo 10 days’ worth of non-invasive cosmetic procedures and hair, make-up and a fashion over-haul resulting in a transformation of their appearance. Cherry holds their hand every step of the way as they undergo their transformations, and also brings her journalistic eye by road-testing some of the products and procedures revealing what works and does not work.
Series 1 - Ep 6 Klara and Debbie
Lollipop lady Klara has adult acne and wants a solution that will rebuild her self-esteem. Debbie wants a new image that will help her to be taken seriously in the boardroom.
This is being paired with the series premiere of Extreme Weddings at 9:00 PM.
Riveting television…
I think the 5pm news is a mistake as the Geelong v Collingwood game will still be playing at that time. I’d bet the only bulletin will be the 5.30pm one.
Ditto next week. Scheduled midday movies replaced by MKR encores.
Wednesday 7 September 9:00 PM
The Chernobyl Disaster, narrated by Ben Fogle, is a dramatic 3-part documentary series that reveals the shocking events minute by minute that led up to the 1986 nuclear accident and how thousands of brave people battled to stop this catastrophic disaster spreading further. Hearing from those who were directly caught up in the tragedy, those who risked their lives cleaning up the disaster, and investigating newly released KGB documents, this series reveals the incredible true story behind one of the world’s worst nuclear accidents. The series also explores the legacy of the Chernobyl disaster including what happened in 2022 when Russia took over Chernobyl during its war against Ukraine.
This documentary reveals the key events and tragic mistakes that lead to this infamous 1986 nuclear disaster that shocked the world, hearing from those who worked at the plant. Scientists, historians and Chernobyl workers tell the dramatic story of the key moments that led to a routine safety test in April 1986 to turn to tragedy. This minute-by-minute breakdown takes us inside the Reactor 4 control room on the night of the test, to understand why decisions were taken and how this deadly accident really happened.
The tragic story of Chernobyl began in the 1960s at the height of the cold war. Created as part of the Soviet Union’s failed dream to lead the world in nuclear power, those working at Chernobyl quickly realised this was a plant riddled with problems. Secret KGB documents reveal a number of problems and a former Chernobyl engineer reveals how he witnessed a major radiation leak in 1983 but it was covered up by his superiors. Outside of work, life was good for the operators at Chernobyl. One worker explains the idyllic life he and his family enjoyed in the nearby Ukrainian town of Pripyat, before disaster struck. The workers who constructed the plant reveal how they were forced to work both day and night to meet tight deadlines to bring this ambitious power station to life. This constant pressure to meet unrealistic deadlines was the reason behind delaying a key safety test, that would have tragic consequences when it was finally carried out in April 1986.
Channel 5 series.

Main channel coverage of AFL in Sydney and Brisbane will depend on the finals schedule.
Updated 02/09/22
If Fremantle beat Western Bulldogs in this Saturday’s elimination final, the Dockers’ semi-final clash (against the loser of Geelong v Collingwood qualifying final) may be held in the afternoon on September 10, to allow Dockers players to fly back to Perth later that night. In that case, the semi final will be shown live on main channel in Perth.

Okay, so they are cutting to the news 30 seconds after the final siren like they do at 6pm on a Sunday. Hopefully the post match coverage continues on 7mate for those who want to see the winning team sing the song.
The post match coverage of Geelong v Collingwood and pre match coverage of Fremantle v Western Bulldogs will air on 7mate in all states.
This game will be Sydney v Gold Coast. Not shown in Sydney or Brisbane.
On 7Plus.
This game will be Brisbane Lions v Carlton. It will be shown live on 7mate in Brisbane and also streamed live on 7plus nationally.
Would this be the first time a VFL game has been seen in QLD?
Good decision by 7. I wonder if they will do the same for Sydney v Gold Coast on Sunday?
I know 10 used to telecast live VFA on Sunday afternoons in the 1980s (before the VFL was allowed to fixture games on Sundays). Not sure if this was Vic only or also aired in other states.
Wonder when This is Your Life will return?
I guess it will return after The Block finishes, which is around mid-October.
