Just gets worse…

Channel 7, the new Channel 10

So much optimism at the end of 2020, but the start of 2021 has been a disaster.

Not really. Seven is just in the same hopeless position that Nine was just a few years back. Just goes to show that FTA TV relies to much on the success or failure of tentpole reality shows. Once their successful shows falter, then their whole schedule crumbles.

When MKR was smashing the competition, Nine was floundering in the same way.

Inside Chernobyl

Monday 22 March at 7:30 pm

The feature length special doc follows presenter and adventurer Ben Fogle on a unique trip as he spends a week living inside the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, thirty-five years after the world’s worst nuclear accident.

Ben Fogle is granted special access deep into the exclusion zone and the deserted towns and forest, including the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant itself. Venturing inside its doomed remains, Ben gains entry into Control Room 4, where the disaster unfolded, and is one of the few outsiders allowed to witness the original Chernobyl sarcophagus. Anyone entering the newly opened control room is limited to just 5 minutes for radiation safety reason.

Ben also explores the ruins of the infamous Hospital 126 and meets a policeman who was on duty on the night and witnessed the explosion.

Throughout his time in the Exclusion Zone, Ben uncovers the strange place Chernobyl has now become, from the abandoned listening post of the Soviet era, to the makeshift and unofficial living spaces now emerging inside the abandoned tenements. He joins local police on a raid looking for ‘stalkers’ – a group who illegally enter the zone in search of thrills - and meets the incredible Self Settlers who came back to live in Chernobyl after the evacuation.

The documentary will also offer an ecological glimmer of hope as Ben documents the limited return of nature to the abandoned town. With the state of the environment at a breaking point, it is hoped that the documentary will shine a light on what Chernobyl’s legacy means in today’s world, and whether we can find hope in what is still the most radioactive place on Earth.

Crime Investigation Australia: Most Infamous - Series 3

Season 3 Episode 4: THE KIMBERLEY KILLER - Coming Soon

A German tourist randomly shoots dead five people in a series of mysterious attacks across the Top End of the Northern Territory and the vast Kimberley region of Western Australia. Roadblocks are set up and a massive manhunt is launched. Remote communities are living in fear until a helicopter pilot spots a camouflaged vehicle in bushland. The gunman is soon surrounded, and police move in.

Host Matt Doran

Looks like another repackaged episode from the original series 1 episode 10.

The Latest started at 11.04pm in VIC tonight, due to the AFL post match running 34 minutes overtime.

Seven programming department seems to be unable to schedule correctly, week in week out, year after year, when it comes to the AFL.

Post Game always runs 1 hour (give or take), always. They should be able to see this in their time corrected ratings program start/end times, yet every week they keep scheduling incorrectly.

Is this some kind of follow-up for this?:

It is a UK Channel 5 program.

So confusing having to work out not only what time a telecast starts (in Queensland for example) but also which channel.

I’ve been saying that since the cricket started last year or the year before!
