I can’t decide between black or white:
Or a mixture (though I don’t personally like this very much):
Also the 24 is probably a bit too light for SD…

I like it but the font is way too small. SD screens would have a lot of trouble.
Agreed the font is way too small but generally I really like it though. It’s simple and flat and works very well.
Excellent, but you’d run into trouble with overscan.
@TV.Cynic so much better than what we have
Always amazed that in an hour o two people like you can whip up GFX that look much better than the shit our networks give us.
I agree but with one important qualification; look at the recent ABC News issues: These look good here at full res, but how would they look on 576i SD TV? I suspect the text in these is too small.
How I would have done the ABC News refresh
One where the Yellow is used as the baseline fo the ticker and GFX
One where the banner above the ticker colour changes with the story
For some reason the name ABC Plus, and especially the logo, sounds to me like a timeshift service of the main channel like channels in Britain do, or it sounds like an online service like Plus7. Nevertheless a brilliant mock.

Thanks, I was absent-minded while typing, no spell check on the editor
Its ridiculous you can develop this and yet the ABC probably spent a fortune of tax payers money on the “new look” that drags us back to 2005 quality and is a blurry and formatted mess.
ABC take bloody note of this beautiful design! You have massively F’d up.
It’s not the new design that it flawed, rather ABC’s implementation of it. The caps from the BDA website are great, it’s just that ABC totally screwed the design when pasting it onto TV screens.
