10 could do a rip off version of MAFS purely focused on sex.

Sex at first sight.

Isn’t that what MAFS has already become?

That is what I thought when they were promoting the 29 year old virgin.

Did MAFS launch against MKR?

No but whats your point?

Ya’ll are insisting 10 launch a super duper hit right now. I’m saying they need to wait til MAFS is done and the audience are looking for something new.

I’m not saying they should roll over, or that they need time to rebuild still… that time is over, they need hits and they need them asap. But right on MAFS season highs is not the way to do it.

I’m fairly confident in saying too, that 10 will not be joining the low brow entertainment movement that 7 & 9 are relishing in… that’s a race to the bottom and 10 are better than that.

I am not saying right now. And in no way have I suggested they try and launch something new when Married is on. I am saying they need to have a different strategy for 2020. They have some known solid shows in their schedule. A show like Survivor could be put against it and probably get similar figures as it does at the end of the year. They could then use that slot to launch their new hit. 10’s issue is they don’t budge - 9 moved shows around successfully. Look at The Block and Married as prime examples of this. Heck they could even move Masterchef and use the winter months to launch their new big show (it has previously been a successful time of the year to launch a new show from them).

10 are better than that? LOL. Is The Bachelor franchise the more luxurious brand of romance reality?

Yes. I’m told that the producers are not steering those shows onto the same shoals as MAFS and MKR.

Yes, it’ll still be the same type of show it always was and that genre is… but it wont be as trashy.

My mistake. We’re both singing from the same hymn sheet…

LOL!

From what little I’ve seen of this years’ MAFS, Nine seem to be doing that quite well already. Parents are hooked, I have no clue how.

I would say CBS are now looking at possible changes in senior management. I could see the axe coming by Easter.

If that happens, I’ll eat my hat while wearing Homer’s Mr X bag over my head.

People in the suburbs have always watched some complete crap, nothing new.

Going by what I’ve read here, I would’ve thought The Bachelor/ette franchise was just as much (perhaps even moreso with headline participants such as Sophie Monk, Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins and Georgia Love) about people trying to build their media profiles as MAFS is.

Also, I agree with those who are saying there really needs to be a major shake-up in senior programming management positions at Ten because whoever’s there currently seems to be woefully ineffective at effectively scheduling content (aside from a few key franchises) that’s actually competitive against Seven & Nine.

What a complete waste of time, and another windfall for the legal profession
