10 just want to get there next “Neighbours” hit and not “A Country Practise” flop

I don’t get it.

Neighbours Started on 7 went to 10 and became next big thing. Hit

A country Practise was on 7 went to 10 for a year and flopped. Miss/Flop

I thought we’d stopped making the “it’s early days” and “give it time” excuses for Ten when the ratings results demonstrated Seven and Nine’s sloppy leftovers weren’t going to lift them out of the doldrums. Press the damn button, CBS. The current strategy is a dud.

I imagine any number of production companies would also be pitching ideas left, right and centre, not just to Ten but to all networks.

Definitely, I should probably stated that as well. I does all just seem quite dated.

To be fair to Ten I think all networks are probably guilty of knocking back what could be genuinely good ideas

Of course. I just think 10 had to push the boundaries a little harder. Especially considering they are the consistently in fourth position and third in the demographics. As I said going for the recycled products was never going to help.

I think most people here were expecting revivals of Changing Rooms & Dancing With The Stars to not rate that well for Ten, just how low the figures have been were the real surprise!

Although it’s easier said than done, Ten (and the other two commercial networks for that matter) really need new programming formats at a creative/innovative level currently not seen on Australian TV. Who knows exactly what “the next big thing” will turn out to be, although I am fairly confident it won’t be Big Brother, Australian Idol or some other old format that peaked in popularity 15+ years ago because revivals very rarely work.

ITV had a presentation of their new formats in London two weeks ago. Presumably someone from CBS was there.

I was responding to the Chicken Little’s on this forum.

Yes, there needs to be something done… but once MAFS burns out, 10 have the opportunity to seize on the available audience. Right now, no one can get close to it.

It sounds like you just give up. 9 didn’t do that when MKR was at its highest. It put Married against it and look what happened.

That’s it. Channel 10(and in memory of Billy J Smith passing away ) needs changed the format.

The New format is 24 hours of It’s a knockout, 7 days a week(Not including that rubbish version from kuala lumpur in 2011). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g79vcg6BIvU

Bring back the ratings for 10 agianst MAFS.

If you do not realise by now, I am being sarcastic. If you don’t know sarcasm, Go see your doctor(LOL)

The chamber and hangover game show seem like they could work on 10.

The rest are a bit meh.

Ten wouldn’t be interested in those. They’d be more interested in reboots of Backyard Blitz and Australia’s Funniest Home Video Show for 2020.
