Does Paramount own them? If not, there could be some serious legal issues here.

Paramount does not own them. Could be a bit interesting to see if anything happens. Paramount might actually care since they have a TV presence in Argentina

Reminiscent of SBT in Basil that copies ABC

Along with the logo change, the Argentinian station also launched a brand-new weekday news bulletin under the somewhat familiar-sounding name, 10 News First Edition .

This is either the greatest coincidence of all time, or the Argentinian station is taking the piss

they might have paid for it. Who designed the Ten revamp? It might have been licenced separately to this station?

Designs are usually done on an exclusive basis…

for decades we’ve had designs and elements of foreign TV presentation adopted locally here - on Seven and Nine in particular.

They’d be licenced from the broadcasters, not the designers. Paramount wouldn’t agree to licence a logo design in the current era.

If Paramount lent into the P+ theme of “A Mountain of Entertainment” for their subsidiary networks and gave CBS “An Eye for Entertainment/News/Drama/Comedy/etc” or something to that effect, what could they do for Channel 5 and Channel 10?

Bullish about repeats?

sorry

Channel 5 already investing more UK programming under Paramount as I think that British TV productions are booming whereas 10 have to cut local drama for favour of endless repeats of CBS Studios programming such as Bull and FBI which mean 10 is fucked up in the head

They really are. Considering that we are an English speaking country and the whole world buys programs in English, we really are mad to not produce more content in this country, rather than just settling for the cheap content from overseas.

Because Australia has a smaller population than Britain means they have a smaller budget to produce local content which more costly than the UK, British networks have the money to produce endless local content whereas Australia does not so that is the status quo

Paramount should be giving 10 more money to invest in local content if they still want to own the network. The fact that they are letting 10 run loose with endless encores and repeats of Bull pretty much suggests they’ve (almost) completely given up on 10.

I get that they want to invest on P+ which is well and good but what good is it to own 10 then. Sorry if it sounds naive but as an outsider I find this really strange.
