UPDATE 23/1: event organisers had announced the third round would be held at Kurrawa on Thursday, February 3, meaning four consecutive days of competition on the beach.

AFLW show Women’s Footy returns for 2022 this Sunday (January 30), hosted by MC and singer Brihony Dawson. It will air at 11am in all states. However WA will miss out on this episode due to Nine’s Australian Open telecast, and will have to wait until the following Sunday for a new episode.

or just watch it on 9Now. Interesting to see Brihony hosting (who’s great from the limited stuff of her’s I’ve seen), not Sam McClure who has hosted in the past.

I reckon Formula E highlights will be on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, filming part of void left by the departure of Suncorp Super Netball to Fox Sports.

Disappointed Nine lost the Netball as it would’ve been a good property to keep.

The Masters on Nine: Live and free from Augusta

image

The biggest golf tournament in the world, The Masters, will be available LIVE and FREE for Australians on 9Gem and 9Now from Thursday, April 7.

Carrying Aussie hopes at Augusta National this year will be Cameron Smith, fresh from winning The Players Championship, plus 2013 Masters champion Adam Scott, Marc Leishman and debutants Min Woo Lee, Cameron Davis and Lucas Herbert.

Much hype surrounds the possibility of five-time Masters champion Tiger Woods making a miraculous comeback from injury and playing this year. If he does, he will have to fend off Dustin Johnson,Rory McIlroy,Justin Thomas and Bryson DeChambeau amongst other leading contenders to triumph again at Augusta, as he did in 2019.

Brent Williams, Director of Sport at Nine’s Wide World of Sports, said: “The Masters has always been a premium tournament and WWOS is proud to continue our long partnership with Augusta. It transcends golf and is a must-see, worldwide sporting event that continues to engage and captivate viewers every year.

“With a superstar field in place and Cam Smith and former winner Adam Scott leading the Australian contingent, 9Gem and 9Now will be the only place to watch The Masters LIVE and FREE, with additional streams available on 9Now.”

Live coverage on 9Gem begins with the Par 3 contest on Thursday, April 7, before the four-day tournament from Friday, April 8, to Monday, April 11.

9Now will also feature additional content to stream with Feature Groups, Amen Corner and the 15th and 16th holes all available.

Did Nine have a studio host for the Masters?

I don’t believe they did.

Nah, just the crappy world feed

They seemed to be flicking between the world feed and the ESPN coverage. Defiately heard Jim Nantz, Nick Faldo, and Scott van Pelt during the coverage.
