Looking on the CASA aircraft register for some of the old helicopters rego’s (VH-TCN and VH-HSV) they show up as belonging to Heli Support at Camden so they must be the outsource provider the TV are using. Those machines would have camera mounts in them but it would be interesting to find out if its BYO links if you want a live cross.

ABC, 7, and 9 all share costs on an outsourced helicopter.
ABC were late at joining after their previous sub-contract deal fell apart.
Sky gets pictures through their content sharing deal with 7 and 9, rather than contributing to helicopter cost.
10 don’t have an option to buy, they steal the vision from off air and claim it is fair use.
Camera equipment all owned by the networks.
It has been this way in all cities for probably five years. Nothing new.
