Nine Network - Programs and Schedules

As I posted in the other thread, Hamish and Andy’s Perfect Holiday will take over The Block’s 7pm Sunday timeslot from November 17.

I wonder if rights aren’t quite available yet?

Nine made a last minute change to their schedule and added an extra episode of RBT into tonight’s schedule with Love Island not starting until 9:06.

I’m guessing to was an attempt to avoid an overlap with The Bachelorette that shares a similar audience. However, 10 have managed to supersize tonight’s hometown ep which did not finish until 9:20pm.

Tough luck to the viewers of both networks.

Lacklustre post-8.30 line-up.
Also strange that Nine skips Star Wars Episode VII and goes straight to Episode VIII.

Movies re-runs every night except two, as well as Paramedics repeat, extended ACA!? Only Sunday will rate (Hamish and Andy) and maybe David Attenborough (we’ll see tonight how it goes).

The movie was released in Event Cinemas on November 9. It will be released in Village Cinemas in Victoria and Tasmania from tomorrow (November 14), and will have the FTA premiere on 9GO! on Saturday, December 28 at 5.30pm.

Giving Life: A Salute to the Red Cross Blood Donors

From Saturday 16 November at 1.00pm

Giving Life , a fly-on-the-wall series to inspire Australia’s blood donors, premieres this Saturday at 1.00pm on Nine.

Taking viewers on a heart-warming, heart-stopping and sometimes heart-breaking journey across eight 30-minute episodes, Giving Life will explore the stories behind the generous people who donate blood to the Australian Red Cross, and the vulnerable strangers who receive their life-saving gifts.

One in three Australians will need blood in their lifetime, a staggering figure, yet only one in 30 donates. Each week the Australian Red Cross Blood Service needs 29,000 blood and plasma donations to meet the needs of patients.

Shelly Park, Chief Executive of the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, said: “For the very first time we are opening the doors of our donor centres and processing centres across the nation, taking viewers into the homes and hospitals where our blood recipients are treated.

“We are proud to be showcasing the work we do and the way every single life-saving donation from our generous donors makes an impact on the lives of Australians.”

Highlighting the breadth of the organisation’s contribution to Australian healthcare, Giving Life will showcase the way the Australian Red Cross Blood Service now goes beyond providing one of the world’s safest and most secure blood supplies.

Each year the Blood Service also collects more than 1.5 million blood and plasma donations, almost 3,000 litres of breast milk, and carries out tissue typing on around 500 donors to provide a match for organ recipients.

Wonder which would’ve rated higher

There was a late amendment for tonight, with a new 30 minute special The Home Away From Home airing on Nine Perth at 7.30pm and 9Gem in other states in the same timeslot. It was scheduled to coincide with McHappy Day tomorrow.

In a Nine Perth special, we follow two families from vastly different parts of the state on their journey through Ronald McDonald House. Hosted by Louise Momber, featuring Scherri-Lee Biggs, Mark Lecras and Lisa Fernandez.

In Perth, Bondi Vet did not start until 8.05pm and Spider-Man: Homecoming will now air at 9.10pm.

Are the distribution rights for this held by Elton’s record company I wonder or does it fall under a 9-BBC deal that allows it access to the episode given it’s not classified as an episode of The Graham Norton Show?

Interesting that Nine will show new episodes of Young Sheldon over the summer.
Also, the Boeing 737 Max documentary is from Channel 4.

I seems that BBC may have taken it to market as a stand alone special.

Haven’t Nine had an output with BBC for about 15 years now? All those British murder mysteries on 9Gem, used to air Midsomer Murders on the main channel in the mid-2000s in prime time too (I recall them being re-runs though), as ABC have a first run deal with BBC don’t they.

I don’t think it does anymore
