Are the distribution rights for this held by Elton’s record company I wonder or does it fall under a 9-BBC deal that allows it access to the episode given it’s not classified as an episode of The Graham Norton Show?

Interesting that Nine will show new episodes of Young Sheldon over the summer.
Also, the Boeing 737 Max documentary is from Channel 4.

I seems that BBC may have taken it to market as a stand alone special.

Haven’t Nine had an output with BBC for about 15 years now? All those British murder mysteries on 9Gem, used to air Midsomer Murders on the main channel in the mid-2000s in prime time too (I recall them being re-runs though), as ABC have a first run deal with BBC don’t they.

I don’t think it does anymore

And Seven have had the ITV output for about the same time, which gives them the other British murder mysteries (Inspector Morse, Lewis, Rosemary and Thyme, ) as well as Doc Martin. Plus those first run mini-series in recent years in prime time on the main channel which have rated (most recently A Confession but that didn’t rate)

Pretty sure BBC First has first run rights now since it was the launch of that channel which ended the ABC deal

Well that’s about as crappy as 7s offerings for the week…

In the dramatic scenery of Australia’s Northern Territory the Saltwater Crocodile population has been protected for over 40 years. Which means they’ve had time to grow! But the bigger they come, the greater the need to protect these magnificent predators from human encounters. In Season 4, every episode will see Matt Wright and his mates Jono and Willow catch and relocate monster Crocs! From farmers to fisherman, resorts to remote communities, the calls for help never stop. It’s dangerous work but danger comes with the territory.

It is produced by Studio Lambert (who brings us the Gogglebox format) and distributed by All3Media. Series 1 debuted in UK in March and April 2019, and the show has been renewed for two more series plus a celebrity version.

Wednesday 4 December at 8:40 pm 4 eps

Get ready for teeth, claws and heart-pounding action in an adventure through the wild outback of Western Australia with Desert Vet , premiering Wednesday, December 4, at 8.40pm on Nine.

Narrated by 60 Minutes correspondent Charles Wooley , this four-part documentary series follows Dr Rick Fenny , a 70-year-old career veterinarian famously known as the real-life vet to the legendary Red Dog – the friendly kelpie-cross who lived his life hitching rides and travelling throughout WA’s north, adventures that inspired a book and two acclaimed feature films.

Together with Rick’s marine biologist son Ed Fenny and his veterinarian daughter, Dr Louisa Fenny , viewers will encounter touching, real-life animal and human stories through their generational lens.

From loveable pets and their unique owners, to deadly stonefish and endangered whale sharks, Desert Vet is all things animal in the wild outback of Western Australia. It’s teeth, claws, action and adventure, seen through the generational lens of a seventy-year-old career veterinarian, his marine biologist son and his veterinarian daughter.

A moving documentary series following a vet hospital that never sleeps and a remote conservational aquarium on the edge of the world, these touching, real-life animal and human stories, will open the viewers’ eyes to this fascinating and otherwise, inaccessible world.

It’s Dr Pol meets Mad Max, Bondi Vet meets Outback Wrangler, with the diverse charm of Western Australia’s land and sea as its backdrop.

They seem to have increased their factual output, which is good for local

So next year 10Peach has Mom older seasons and 9 retains new episodes?

“WB Kids came from a time when we had the output deal with Warner Brothers and we had to maximize the utility of animation, which was that part of that package. If I look back now I think ‘That was madness,'” Hamish Turner, Director of Programming at Nine, explained.

“The deal was originally in ’97 or something. I think at one point they were probably paying $200 million a year. Crazy times.”
