Don’t think so… they managed all right for 20 years before. Anyway the ‘Nightline’ name has been used by a few different networks around the world… I’m sure ABC would have done something about it if they cared.

I would be surprised if any more than 2 of the existing on air Newshub presenters will make it onto the Stuff produced bulletin. Certainly not the weather or sports ones at the very least.

Seems like they could have done without this position, tbh. Heather isn’t a trained meteorologist and the scripts are almost entirely provided by Metservice (with some tweaking by the presenters).
Unless Stuff isn’t going to use Metservice… hmm…

Agree, I for sure thought they would have done away with this position - unless they plan to use her across multiple platforms for maximum efficiency.

With Andrew Gourdie not being part of Three’s new look news service when Newshub’s final broadcast screens on 5 July, does that mean Sky Sport will be perfect?

To me, the team from Sky are specialists in televised sport and sports content. For example, Jeff McTainsh, Kirstie Stanway and Ross Karl are all at Sky and used to work at Newshub.

I’ve said this for years - if the weather presenter isn’t a trained meteorologist, don’t bother. But apparently knowing what you’re talking about doesn’t matter as long you can speak clearly and look pretty. 
Joking aside, I think it’s just a case of Stuff thinking they need a separate weather presenter. TV1 does it so they need to, too! Except Dan is a meteorologist and ad-libs all his forecasts… no offence to Heather of course. I wonder if Stuff will use her as a reporter in addition to her weather duties?
