I’ve noticed a lot of the newbie reporters taking big stories lately. Maybe Newshub trying to sell its talent?
Really? I’ve noticed the opposite in the past two weeks. Damelza Leslie and Karen Rutherford, stalwarts of bulletins’ past, have been back on the 6pm screens again.
The National Business Review (NBR) today announced the appointment of McRoberts as Te Ao Māori Editor, a role he said he was “really excited” about.
I’d imagine staff outside of any Stuff-themed lifeboats, are primarily just trying to build out a portfolio as best they can now.
Great get for the Herald
More Newshub carryovers
Back for another day at the Manhattan Criminal Court. Ahead of Newshub’s closure in July, this is my last week as Newshub’s US Correspondent.

This has been a dream gig, and I’m very grateful for our team. Looking forward to a new challenge with @featurestory in New York. pic.twitter.com/InVYnxdFDs
Definitely been one of Newshub’s best talents.
His studio coverage on March 15 was superb
Isobel Ewing, from last night’s bulletin… although the logo on the high-vis might make it seem a bit older.
This was aboard NIWA’s ship (it’s heading off to Tonga to study the volcano that blew two years ago). Went to air about 6:30pm… I thought about capturing Gordon Findlater’s topless ode to the Phoenix too, but I thought I’d spare you all!
Has Newshub done any political polls this year? Random thought.
Not that I can recall - but I can’t recall TVNZ doing as many as they have in first years after elections either.
Will be interesting to see if StuffHub continues polls.
I’m pretty sure they haven’t. I’d be surprised if they did.

Yep, love to see Journo’s having a bit of fun with it, eh.
Newshub 2024 Budget coverage.

My recording today was muted so I’ll do a very small montage up on YouTube soon

All looks so dark. Suits a 10 or 11 pm bulletin, not mid-afternoon.
Haha to be fair Newshub politics probably does consider it to be a dark day
I think this is a one off arrangement and good to see they continued to produce one all things considered. Usually budget coverage goes under the newshub nation banner and the lighter graphics package that show had.
