Great songs heard on radio

Speaking of Cliff, I heard My Pretty One yesterday on 4KQ. A rare one indeed.

Honeymoon Is Over - The Cruel Sea

Great 90s rock song just played on Triple M Sydney that isn’t often heard these days.

If Tex didn’t flip the bird to Kirribilly would that song even get a look in apart from a weekend of lost songs?

THE BEATLES - Let It Be

On Triple M Central Coast as part of today’s “20 Countdowns in 20 Days” feature. Really enjoyed hearing it.

It’s a weird situation when one of the biggest tracks by one of the most successful bands in history is so rarely played on commercial radio. Of course, there was a time when WSFM was flogging this track, but those days are well and truly over.

Did you enjoy Tones & I Dance Monkey straight after it?

Surprised they haven’t owned their position as a poorly-scheduled JackFM type station like the metros did in the noughties:

“From The Monkees, to Dance Monkey. Triple M - You Never Know What We’ll Play Next”

How can those two songs possibly belong in the same countdown?

What was the theme?

You might be able to Shock The Monkey (Peter Gabriel style)? Could work?

Speaking of Peter Gabriel, just heard this rarely played gem on WSFM 80s on DAB

Big Time

Deserves to be played more often, particularly on FM.
