in games without frontiers, war without tears

For the longest time I couldnā€™t decipher what was said in the chorus. Itā€™s ā€˜Jeux sans frontiĆØrsā€™ which is of course 'games without frontiers/bordersā€™in French. The song in turn takes its name from the European version of ā€˜Itā€™s A Knockoutā€™.

Thereā€™s also a bit in the song where Peter sings Whistling tunes we piss on the goons in the jungle.
This was replaced in the single with Whistling tunes weā€™re kissing baboons in the jungle.

KROQ Los Angeles used to play the uncensored album version (I have heard airchecks). I have never heard anything other than the G-rated single version on air in Australia.

Iā€™m not 100% certain but Iā€™m pretty sure Iā€™ve heard the non G rated version on Australian radio.

They play quite a lot of Chris de Burgh on Breeze. Iā€™m a fan

The ā€˜goonsā€™ version is now on Sumo FM. I had the single edit from the ā€˜Shaking The Treeā€™ compilation before.

Itā€™s a wonder why ā€˜Adolfā€™ wasnā€™t censored as wellā€¦

House of Fun - Madness, on Triple M Melbourne right now during Kennedy Molloy. An unflogged gem, usually if itā€™s Madness itā€™s It Must Be Love.

I won 150 dollars on the i98 quickie when I guessed that song back early / mid 90s. Unfortunate name for the competition.

It was the Maroon and Milley show.
