Always on My Mind (1993): An HK film focusing on a middle-aged anchorman, on the death road due to cancer, suddenly becoming the most trusted face after accidentally helped arresting a wanted thief.

The CCN News studio.

Mics in newsgathering scene, featuring a badly-recreated ATV logo :joy: The inclusion of it possibly relates to the station being among the acknowledged bodies in the credits - maybe they rented their studio out to the crew?

The outside broadcast graphic, as seen in the station’s control room. This is after the anchorman knocked out the thief, then memorizing about it the next morning.

The CCN Lunchtime News open, seen towards the end of the movie. It starts with a rotating globe, zooming in before overlaying the words “CCN” on top. As the globe disappears, “Lunchtime News” flips out beneath the CCN wordmark and its colourful, swirling symbol, before fading in to the studio.

Some of the more legitimate looking older styled 4:3 graphics and camera quality. Appears they did a lot of research.

Fake news bulletins during BBC/ABC’s Queen of Oz including Emma Alberici on News Live “Eye In The Sky” - some sort of throw back to 1970s Eyewitness News.

Also features a number of radio personalities with fake radio broadcasts incl Jonesy and Amanda.

UK viewers may not immediately realise that Jonesy and Amanda host a breakfast radio show in real life.

Well it’s their job to learn it. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I suspect they will as the show also features multiple cameos from BBC radio presenters.

Something that looks like MAFS also gets an appearance.

Dunno about that entirely, the JAM Nation highlights show gets around pretty far now (especially after the ARN/Grant takeover), although whether it’s obvious to those listening to that know it’s highlights of breakfast in Sydney is another matter (same with Christian O’Connell of course).

…so at least the personalities may be known to those who bother with radio at the early-evening hour they tend to get dumped on. (Or indeed had watched Amanda in some of her 10 Network stuff.)

Not sure it matters a lot in this case though.
