It kind of does;
Grant joins Griffith University in December, after his ABC NEWS channel program Matter of Fact finishes its run.
I suppose that could be interpreted in different ways but it seems fairly definitive.

So does the 11pm bulletin now go for an hour, with Bev presenting it?
Canberra service from 10:00-1:00pm on ABC and News 24
France service from 8:00-9:30pm on ABC and News 24
London service from 9:30-10:30pm on News 24
Repeats 1:30-2:00pm and 11:00-11:30pm on News 24

The channel is simulcasting ABC News Queensland tonight for the latest on the bushfires in central and southern Queensland.
EDIT: the channel is showing ABC News NT as well. As posted in ABC News content thread, it could be due to server issue in Sydney which prevents the national bulletin from going to air.

ABCâs Sydney server caught on fire (yes literally) so NT did the news for them. (Info from a reliable source)
usually they show Canberra or Melbourne!

ABC NSW did go to ACT news per this check.
Not sure why ABC News went to QLD and NT, other than the fact that the two bulletins are a guaranteed hour of coverage that Sydney could use to recover.
They had to take Queensland and NT because the Sydney servers werenât up and running.
Content for Matter of Fact was hot rolled out of edit suites and Melbourne took over as usual for The World at 10.

Matter of Fact has ended
Had a feeling it was the last episode of Matter Of Fact, I noticed that there were credits at the end which I thought was unusual.
Whatâs going in the 9pm timeslot?
