If he does a Billy Crystal / Andrew Denton style opener where the host surprises the stars with embarrassingly funny lines it might be entertaining.

It could be that Nine is attempting to land the blow that will kill Karlâs career once and for all OR it could be the first step in rehabilitating Karlâs shattered image and setting him on the path to redemption in the eyes of viewers.

Iâm thinking that as well the start of his comeback as the golden boy⌠but if he has a drink or two and says something inappropriate on the night that could be the final nail in the coffin for his career at Nine.

The choice of Peter Overton & Deborah Knight (as much as I personally think both are way better choices than Karl) as co-presenters of the NSW & Federal Elections probably should tell you how the news/current affairs side of Nine feels about Karl in 2019.
If Karl Stefanovic eventually makes a comeback, I reckon itâll be more in the entertainment division of the network.

Essentially, heâs expected to attend the awards with his wife (past Gold Logie winners get invited). However, Nine have ruled out him hosting the event

So the Logies will just be the same old same old? I think putting Karl in charge after whats happened to him could be his Ricky Gervais moment! Def get viewers tuned in.
No doubt the media will have a field day reporting him/jaz and Cass are at the same event.

Final nominations for the 2019 Logies will be announced on the Gold Coast this Sunday, May 26, at 2.30pm AEST.
Do we get some nominees on the cover of TV Week or some $#!+ Home and Away actors again?

Will they announce the acts and overseas guests too?
They should try and get Billie Eilish, Andy Grammer (for the Five Bedrooms song) or Lizzo. Some Game of Thrones or Big Bang Theory guests would be good gets too.
Thr havenât been going out of their way to bring overseas guests over for the awards in the past few years. People are over having those random guests appear at an awards show which theyâve never heard of and know nothing about.
And they now seem to just get whoever happens to be in the country at the time to perform plus locals.
One international guest (a singer or a guest to present an award) is more than enoigh. Mulitple guests just drags out the Logies even more!
It will be interesting to see who is nominated for the awards.

With the nominations being announced tomorrow arvo, any predictions on whoâll be up for the awards?
For the Gold, id say Tom Gleeson would be up. Amanda Kellar too. Would Grant Denyar be up back to back, despite not being on DWTS for long (and Games of Games flopped).? Not sure if any of the Project past winners will be up. They werent last year.
Interesting to see the Popular Panel/ Current Affairs Program nominees. Sports shows like The Front Bar, to the various morning shows like Studio 10, to serious shows like 7.30, Foreign Correspondent etc are up against each other.
Hoping for numerous Karl Stefanovic nominations and for him to be admitted into the Hall of Fame.
