Worth noting that after The Ashes first test, from Wednesday 26 November for the rest of the week the schedule has Seven’s National News At Noon and Seven News With Alex Cullen replaced by a midday movie for the three days that week. Potentially earlier if the match finished early.

The 7News converge of John Laws’ state funeral sees the 1pm news update by Alex out of the schedule in all markets. The funeral is to be covered in Sydney and Melbourne with other markets getting Noon News then Blankety Blank at 1pm.

With the First Test starting on Friday , Seven’s National News At Noon and Seven News With Alex Cullen and Blankety Blank (now in repeats from yesterday) are also out of the schedule for the following week replaced by midday movies with a Christmas theme.

Well guess who are the winners from all of this I suppose…
But if there was complants, WA would have been axed long before now. It’s being taken off now because it’s summer and it’s probably easier to work around the cricket if you don’t have 3 slightly less than an hour game shows and news updates getting in the way.
So probably doesn’t warrant nationwide coverage then lol
He was very well known in regional areas, even many regional Victorian stations relayed his show back in the day despite it being from Sydney.
