State edition Queensalnd
I was going to ask if WIN News started their state editions. looks like Lincoln did the WIN News state edition Victoria as well

Surely there’s a better name for this than state edition? Sounds cheap and lazy, at the very least it could say the actual state.

He also presented the Illawarra bulletin. I don’t think it was a state edition though?

Canberra had its bulletin as normal with Lincoln so I assume Canberra and Wollongong are still continuing as normal with state bulletins everywhere else.

I’ve watched the montage and Jared Constable pronounced Learmonth wrong. It’s pronounced Lear mon th, not Lear minth.

So basically no different?

Regional Victoria, Regional Queensland and Western New South Wales. Be glad they don’t call it WIN News Local like what Nine did with their statewide bulletins.

I think a majority of us preferred Nine News Local because it was a live bulletin and felt much pacier?

they don’t even need “regional” in there
WIN News Victoria
WIN News New South Wales (or WIN News NSW and ACT)
WIN News Queensland

But 80% irrelevant
They could just follow the same route as general branding and call it Nine News on WIN or even something like WIN Network News.

Now that’s confusion at its finest…

If Nine allowed their news branding to be used on the same basis as general network branding is being used currently, then WIN could easily adopt the same branding and graphics. This would require a few tweaks to the production endboard to state that the bulletin is ‘a WIN Network production,’ while also acknowledging that the brand and trademarks are being leased from Nine.

I somewhat doubt they would allow this in the bulletins current state… it’s also WIN’s last flag in the sand so to speak so they’re probably not inclined to (want to) do it anyway.

Why not just call it “Queensland”?
Is that really the credit graphic they’re using or did that come with the footage?

On GO! like previous years (though that was probably just for the Aus Open) or the main channel?

Despite the upcoming new 9 news look scheduled over the next few weeks I don’t suppose that WIN will also get a facelift anytime soon?
