WIN News

I don’t think the graphics would stop people from watching WIN News. The only reason people like me don’t watch it, is because it’s now a shit product with only two local stories, and the majority of stories having no relevance to people outside of their local region.

I basically only watch WIN News because it is the ONLY news service in Bendigo.

it’s the oldest station in the network but it wasn’t the first in the network or the beginning of the WIN network, in that TVT6 only joined WIN in 1994.

WIN4 was the founding member of what became WIN Television. Other stations only joined the network through later acquisitions.

I was being pedantic there, but their loosely interchangeable “WIN News/Network/Television” and “regional” references in the promos and story when they actually meant WIN4 Wollongong slightly annoyed this Taswegian.

So you don’t watch it, but you do, but you don’t?

Come on now

It’s time to stop bullying this guy. Seriously

Not sure why they thought it needed to be done as a “live” cross. The way the reporter starts it should’ve just been done as a normal story.

It hasn’t aired on Good Friday for years.

It’s usual for WIN News to stay closed on Good Friday, Christmas and Boxing days (and maybe the latter two’s bank holidays, in case they fell on a weekend).

‘the news’ should air every day

No one needs to see WIN news though, who cares about that lol

Surprised this wasn’t picked up and re-shot before it got to air. Bruce Roberts mixing up Illawarra locality Albion Park Rail with Albert Park. Somebody obviously had a big weekend watching the Australian Grand Prix. He’s been based in Wollongong for a while now. I guess you can take the boy out of Victoria but you can’t take Victoria out of the boy.

Makes it sound more live?

A noodle update just aired in the North West, presented on location from the Tamworth Country Music Fesitval.

WIN are media partner of the festival, probably part of their agreement.

WIN News will only air in VIC and TAS today, as NSW and QLD are taking Anzac Day NRL.
