Prime7 and SCTV have agreed to use the 7 logo during sports coverage. I don’t see why the Olympics should be an exception.

…and it’s not that hard to check exactly what channel you’re watching via the EPG!
If I’m not mistaken, Seven has only fairly recently introduced separate “watermarks” (I use that term very loosely of course) for sport coverage on 7TWO and 7mate while I’m pretty sure Nine always uses the standard WWOS logo whenever sport coverage airs on 9Go! or 9Gem.

That I did not know. How long has this been going on for? I thought Prime used to stick their own logo above 7’s.

Prime has been doing it since they changed to Prime7. SCTV since forever (with exception to SCTV Central North which places their watermark next to the 7 Sport logo)

I think that’s correct. Prime reverses the trend by using the red 7 Sport logo across all channels, while WIN used to do the opposite with covering the Nine WWOS logo with individual multi-channel brands.

SC Tasmania used insert their own logo just “SCTV|Live” years ago, but now just insert the 7 logos into the clean feeds they receive.
With the switch of 7HD feeds last night we had these watermarks.
The last 2 were just waiting for the HD to appear, but otherwise 4 watermarks within less than 10 minutes is pretty good.
