I know the american Channels do exactly the same thing next to their watermark
Yep, that was on their broadcasts and similar on the news for their exclusives but that too also died out along with the Tiger, logo and possibly species.

I don’t recall them ever using one prior to this to be honest. I have nothing in my collection that suggests otherwise.
I’ve said it before, but it’s a real shame they dropped the tiger branding for the star. Tiger logo was far superior to the current logo.
That Fox Kids watermark would have to be the worst watermark I have ever seen on Australian TV, as well as Channel [V] from 1998-2002 (an orange and sometimes lime green stylised 70s style V) and the current WIN mappy.

A golden coloured “HD” appeared by itsself on SCA9 on the SD channel for some minutes…

Gee it’s a good thing that they put “sport” next to the logo because I wouldn’t have known I was watching sport otherwise…

I think sport might be part of the logo. It replaced this a few years back which I thought was way better

2012, when the previous AFL broadcast deal commenced.
Actually, new Seven Sport package may have been a month or two before that, the Australian Open.
