10 pages. Ffs.

10 page overload of “summer fun”. Yawn.

Just wait until the 15 page Home and Away Xmas Special next week and the 20 page 2023 preview in 2 weeks time.

What a pointless and meaningless cover.

The erection TV Week has for this show is ridiculous.

There has to be sales data linking H&A covers to increased sales, or some sort of contra deal in place (“you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours”). There’s no other logical reason why one show dominates this magazine over everything else.

The double page interview with Tony Barber in this week’s issue is worth reading though.

Why I Had To Say No

surely not a dog whistle to Home and Away fans?!?

14 day holiday tv guide? Does this mean that there’s no TV Week issue next week?

Given the cover date says December 24 to January 6 it looks to be a double issue.

I thought that was normal for Christmas? Same as last year at least.

Yes I think they’ve done it the last couple of years. Not quite as iconic as the Radio Times Christmas double issues though :stuck_out_tongue:

Yet another “Why I had to…” headline.

So original…

14 day TV guide and it costs more $5.60.

What’s the normal cover price?

Normal price is $5.30.

It is related to Home and Away. From the article at Now to Love website:

‘‘They [the producers] have asked me back,’’ she reveals, ‘‘but at the time when they said, ‘This is where we could fit it into the storyline,’ I wasn’t available. I couldn’t commit that amount of time to it.’’

But it’s still a possibility at some point.

It always is.

Of course it is

Over the last few years, the mag would write Merry Christmas around the borders of the tv guide for December 25, and have fireworks pictures around the borders for New Year’s Eve. But in this latest issue, the borders have remained unchanged (aka like any other day).

They do have a number of pages for “the year that was”, which is good. Two pages of the biggest moments on reality tv, two pages of Home and Away moments (of course), two pages of drama moments, and a few pages of news stories of the year. Plus a section of Xmas movies and shows to watch.

The cover should have been a little bit more festive. Heck, last weeks issue of Home and Away’s summer photos looks more festive than this of Danni Minogue.
