TV Week

The host is a former model but how did they manage to make him look so bad in that shot. Surely they could have done better to find a new studio shot to launch the new host.

It’s like they shot the same pose/location for the Survivor edition for the past 10 seasons.

not sure if correct thread but relevant to this post/mag cover from last year

I’m thinking Woodbridge is a smokey for a Gold nom?

I mean, ratings and publicity alone so far in 2025, he’s been basically front and centre and largely praised: summer of tennis > TP > Milano Cortina and probably Postcards very soon too.

Or certainly more Silver noms.

Well, Woodbridge did win the Silver last year for Most Popular Presenter. Surely a Gold Logie nom is next. He has def had a bigger year. From the face of the tennis (particularly the Aus Open), Postcards, Tipping Point and Cross Court, to also commentating in the Winter Olympics.

It will be interesting the choices for the New Talent award. Will Richard Marx be up for his “breakout role” in The Voice? Or David for hosting Survivor, despite being a contestant for about 342 seasons (well, it feels like that. lol).

I assume that the Logies cut-off is still March 31? So noms and the awards ceremony would still be months away? It’s a shame that there is no permanent Logies website, just like the AACTAs website. TV Week doesn’t like to reveal upcoming dates and changes in decades…

TV Week’s Facebook page posted this just moments ago:
“We’ve blacked them out… but you know those silhouettes. Which Aussie s do you think are taking over tomorrow’s cover?”

Well, no need for silhouettes since at the end of this week’s issue it says they are excited by the return of two characters on Home and Away.

Damn, I thought it might have been Donald and Melania.

After 10 long years away from Summer Bay, Home and Away’s most iconic couple are finally returning next week!

Meanwhile, the drama on Married At First Sight is heating up as the truth comes out and Bec and Alissa are right at the centre of it all.

Over on The Hospital: In The Deep End, Jelena Dokic opens up in a powerful moment as she confronts her past, and Outlander fans, grab the tissues as we’re finding out how Claire and Jamie’s epic love story will come to an end in the final season.

I don’t know if I call them iconic.

In TV Week’s world, they’re always iconic.

What a stupid idea. Customers will mistake it for the same issue.

That’s better. Will buy it this week.

I may be mistaken, but I don’t think that Lorraine Bayly been mentioned in the mag since her passing 3 weeks ago. Which is a shame. Especially since her role in Australian Television, and winning numerous Logies, is quite an achievement.

Will see if Jamie Dunn (“Agro”) passing, which came later, makes a mention in the next issue.

I know that everything is available online these days, but it would be nice if the mag returned to a “latest news” spread after the contents page. Perhaps one to two pages? To cover deaths, axings of lesser known programs, new presenters on some shows, etc. Instead of just having plot lines for half a dozen shows spread over 10 pages which is 60% photos and 40% of articles.
