They are back at it again, (possibly, it looked like ai) this time it featured a man knocking a water tank with the VO saying something like “One knock and you’ll know it’s good”. It aired around 1:20pm today on 10 Wollongong if anyone is interested.

Using AI for the animals is somewhat understandable but this is not… So sad.

Interesting choice of Matt Berry for this MLC ad. Also know as a vampire on What We Do In The Shadows TV series, the voice of Absolute Radio UK and many other commercials.

For a luxury department store, it appears now David Jones has seemingly generated AI footage of a dog for a new TV commercial for their newly revamped loyalty program called David Jones Rewards which is currently doing the rounds.

I don’t think that’s AI IMO.

The whole campaign was terrible the agency should be sacked.

I’d prefer the Kmart cloned ads to this one.

This is the offending commercial from The Jerky Co.

Toyota skids into hot water

Unsafe driving in a Toyota Yaris GR was another ad taken to task by Ad Standards, after complaints about a simulated scene of the carmaker’s flagship model racing into a large, empty shed and skidding through boom gates.

In its submission, the brand said: “Toyota considers that the impression of the overall advertisement is consistent with the theme of its broader and established marketing campaign, ‘Oh what a feeling,’ which often uses emotional connection to promote the benefit of the product — or in this case, a ‘rally car feeling’ for a motorsport-inspired consumer vehicle.”

However, Toyota ultimately accepted Ad Standards’ ruling that the ad depicted unsafe driving and has directed its media agency to discontinue the campaign, although a version remains on YouTube, uploaded by creative agency Hero.

Probably CGI, rather than AI.

Look at just how many of these ads are on TV right now… this is how many I’ve found…

It’s that time of year again. Lol.

The only thing I find funny about it, is it’s called “Black Friday" but the sales run for a month now.

I just saw a ad for Uber Eats on The 10 App and it an introductory offer but it sounded so robotic. I’m not sure if it was an AI voice or some real but it was super cheap… Even the video looked like a Powerpoint Presentation with stock video footage sandwiched between, which for a company that allegedly scams thousands from restaurants is embarrassing…

I came across that ad, too. I didn’t look at it, but the voice over certainly sounded unnatural to me. I don’t think that it’s a coincidence that it’s popped up so soon after Menulog announced its closure.
