Which is spelt as “Woollongong” on the address for their ad…
Judging by what the St George Illawarra “Dargons” do on "Staurday"s, it’s bog standard for the area. ![]()
Not that part, the caption shown during the ad, on the bottom of the screen.
Couldn’t find it anywhere in the ad from my captures. It was a 15 second ad. Did they have a longer one or something?
My apologies i mixed up the company name. It was an ad for “Best Price Gold Buyers” at Corrimal Mall:
Thanks. What channel did you see that on?
I reckon it would have been on 7 during the Saturday Horse Races a few weeks back, but i vaguely remember seeing it during WIN News.
Someone else in the comments of that post also noticed which is nice.
When the ad first aired last Sunday I had no idea it was for Telstra, until the name was dropped during the dialogue.
Really?
Telstra, you don’t need Steve Buscemi in your ads.
You’re Telstra. You’re the monolithic overlord, you can just put your logo up and say “We’re Telstra. You want reliable? You have us. We’re not the other guys”.
Stop jacking up my phone bill.
At the end of current Coles ads, looks like the Coles logo is zoomed in way too big.
Yes this is circulating on TV and online.
Reminds me of how Fitzmedia in Warrnambool at times zooms in some of their local Warrnambool ads way too big, chopping off a considerable amount of video detail from the said ads, like chopping out certain aspects of footage for a business, text information, business logo and even the local business address, either completely or partially. Mainly occurs during South West Local News.
E.g, you couldn’t even read the fineprint seen at the bottom of the screen at the end of those Maddens Lawyers ads. It was just the Maddens Lawyers logo zoomed in way too big, and during January, it happened very frequently. The answer? The entire ad was zoomed in way too big. George Taylor Stores was another culprit, their Summer ads zoomed in way too big, and happening frequently too during January. This was all also during South West Local News.
Pfffft. Like Coles would care. As long as their “specials” are getting out, and they keep saying Coles a lot, I think people get the message.
As long as they’re not saying “Woolworths is better” or “Aldi is better” or “IGA is better” in the ads, they’ll be fine.

Who came up with the Sun Rice commercials? What a load of crap. Friggin annoying.
Advertising never works for me, I’ve just finished a great meal of sweet and sour chicken and some rice, rice baby.
I ate it like a Bosch!
Did you feel like a Tooheys after writing that?
Its James Boag down there (or Cascade further south).
Or two? ![]()
