When is this happening?

Not confirmed. SA Government did announce they’d look into it in the last year or so.

EDIT: Actually it was 2015 it was discussed and looks like it has since been dismissed: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-09-10/sa-liberals-looking-to-past-on-time-zone-shift-hamilton-smith/6763746

Moving to +10 would make more sense - it would bring them in line with the eastern states. Most of the population is in the east of the state too so it wouldn’t make much difference to most people’s body clock.

It definately wont happen now Liberals are in power, they are against changing time zones

Should just run stuff live but half an hour earlier - Canada does that with Atlantic time programming into Newfoundland with their half hour difference.

Doesn’t really work though - workdays are still 9-5, and everything else runs as per normal time so it doesn’t really make sense to have, say a breakfast show run 5:30-8:30 if peak hour is 6:30-9, similarly having a drive show run 3:30-5:30 doesn’t make sense if peak hour is 4-6:30

9’s Today show used to be broadcast into SA live 6:30 - 8:30am.

Remember that Adelaide doesn’t have the large drive market the other four main metros have. It’s a compact city.

Yes there are vehicles on the haul out to Murray Bridge, the south coast or Gawler, but there’s not many.

There shouldn’t be any Kennedy Molloy on 5MMM, leave it on the digital, same for Brisbane and Perth. Run it live in each market too.

I know its OT but when was TODAY live into Adelaide?

Definitely agree there shouldn’t be any Kennedy and Molloy in 5MMM, they are still getting slammed on Facebook and Twitter about it.

Years ago, when it was a two hour program with Steve Liebmann and Liz Hayes or Kellaway. Before SCB’s destructive management of NWS. Regionals the same.

It’s great the audience complain now, but managements know to weather the kneejerk reaction.

What’s needed is an ongoing, sizeable decline in drive during the period of the new program.

Unfortunately, I’m yet to see an example of this save for ‘broken structure’’ stations such as 2DAY currently or Mix pre Kyle & Jackie. In both those cases, the audience doesn’t care, the station is plumbing new depths.

Does anyone know whom anchors the Triple M Big Breakfast show in Brisbane for Marto, Robin and Moonman?

@Karen_Cee, their anchor is the same as last year with Ed.

Triple M Sydney have 80’s cassette mix Monday’s.
Sounds like they have taken the “awesome 80’s” greatest hits log from the regionals.
I heard walking on sunshine just before.

Correct. Anchor on 4MMM breakfast.

Show credits should include whoever panels for the blow in comedian who sits in their South Melb studio most of the time.

I doubt there is a panel operator in South Melbourne. Lawrence Mooney just sits in a small booth there on his own surely. Easy enough to dial him in to the 4MMM studios I’m sure.
