Wow. That’s absolutely horrendous that #41 was the highest ranked female artist. Just wow!
Pretty much sums up what’s wrong with Triple M.
If you listen to US or Canadian rock/greatest hits stations they are absolutely chockers with the likes of Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks and the like.
I know this is off topic, but if the copy on those websites isn’t AI generated, I’ll eat my hat
Case in point, the repetition of things in threes.
“It was about the songs that worked — the ones that still hit, still got turned up, and still brought the right energy when summer was in full swing.”
“It’s the windows down on a long drive. It’s the backyard BBQ running late. It’s knocking off work, cracking a cold one, and letting the music do the rest.”
“Whether people were on the coast, on the tools, or just trying to keep cool, the Summer 600 delivered the soundtrack.”
I’d like to add to my previous post, 6MMM More Music workday starts at 8.30am (after Xav & Katie) and finishes at 2pm (when Lu & Jarch starts) there are minimal to no ads and the only interruption is the hourly traffic/news report and many some info from the “dj” who is hosting that timeslot.
No ads from what I could tell, just news/traffic updates. I did hear a promotion before I exited the car for work that said something along the lines of “if we talk something will happen, more music every hour… please listen:” I don’t know if it’s what is said word for word but I do remember hearing the “more music every hour… please listen” part
I want to like 3MMM, there’s a lot of things I like about them but geez the bombardment of ads is really ghastly. It makes it difficult to enjoy. I do listen to other commercial stations but I feel like the ads are really out of hand on Triple M.
”Now here’s Mick in the Morning!” “Yeah g’day this is Mi–” “AT KMART, WE’VE GOT LOWEST PRICES ON…” (20 mins of ads follow)
I have heard “Crazy” - Gnarls Barkley” on Triple M 2000s via LiSTNR and via the Regional versions of MMM a few times (Via Triple M Newcastle 102.9 FM).
