only two more months - end of November really.

Which is probably expected. No point launching a new breakfast show before the end of the year now. See out the year, then announce and launch a new show for 2025.

2GB’s Ben Fordham played a snippet of The Marty Sheargold Show just after 8am this morning as part of his Ben Fordham Comments segment. Referring to it as ‘Marty Sheargold from Triple M Mebourne’ even though it would’ve also aired on Triple M Sydney (and around the country).

What was he playing from the show?

I’ve no interest in Fordham but we can probably give him a pass for this. The Sheargold show AFAIK emanated from Triple M in Melbourne, the fact it was heard in part across the network is probably neither here nor there and probably of no consequence to whatever reason he was playing the clip for?

The Listnr site also lists it as a Triple M Melbourne program, so that’s may of where they got their info from.

2GB played a snippet of Lauren telling how she experiences a “Welcome to Country” daily at her pilates class.

That’s just too much.

Looks like it’ll loose its meaning quicker than I thought.

I’m not sure about Hughesy because I think his personality may be too strong for Rosie and Daisy and he may unintentionally take over.

I feel Hughesy only really works with Kate.

If she doesn’t join 3MMM, I wouldn’t pair him up with anyone else.

Similarly when they tried putting Merrick away from Rosso. It’s just not the same.

lol, “unintentionally”…

Ben Fordham is a friend of the show. He’s been on the podcast a couple of times before with Marty.

Triple M star Ben Dobbin’s horrific bike crash leaves him hospitalised with broken neck and spinal injuries

Brisbane TV and radio sports personality Ben Dobbin says he’s lucky to be walking, let alone alive, after a horror pushbike crash - which happened as he swerved to miss a snake - left him in hospital with a broken neck.

The Triple M presenter and Channel 9 rugby league reporter was training for the Noosa Triathlon last Wednesday when the accident happened.

He said he was riding with cycling coach Cam Hughes from Nundah to the Hornibrook Bridge when he swerved to miss a black snake on the road.

“My front tyre clipped his back tyre and I lost control, shot across (the road), got spat out and went head first into the one and only steel pole,” a sore and sorry Dobbin told The Sunday Mail from his bed in Brisbane’s Wesley Hospital.

“I knew something was wrong straight away and an ambulance was called.

“I had a CT and MRI and was diagnosed with a fractured C5 vertebrae.”

Dobbin’s Triple M co-hosts, Leisel Jones and Liam Flanagan, shared the shocking news with listeners during Wednesday’s Rush Hour show, describing the incident as a “tumble” and reassuring fans that Dobbin is expected to make a full recovery.

Just after 8:30pm on Triple M Nights with Dave Gleeson this evening, I heard “The Emptiness Machine” by Linkin Park (and yes I know it’s been out for some time now).

A great comeback single, their first since Chester Bennington’s passing over seven years ago.

Have Triple M Perth made any noticeable changes over the last survey period to see them climb in the ratings?

I’m happy to see a well-deserved climb, but am wondering why it has taken so long.

I think just the fact that there hasn’t been any changes to the format of the stations as well as not having any changes to the Breakfast & drive slot has helped a tonne. Overall I think people have finally got used to the “Perth’s Real Alternative” format

A shame now they’re losing The Rush Hour local show in Perth.

I wonder if Adelaide (3.30pm-5.30pm) and Perth (1.00pm-3.00pm/2.00pm-4.00pm) could get the Melbourne Rush Hour live so that listeners in those cities can participate in live talkback?

I highly doubt it but if they want a truly semi-national show then this is one way to do it.

If they’re gonna delay it they’d have to drop the talkback parts wouldn’t they?
