Triple M Network

Agreed, we should have an extra three commercial licenses in the capital cities, but keep the two-station duopoly cap and get some more competition.

Relevant quote from the article regarding the Drive slot next year:

Where networking is going to feature will be drive. Triple is heading toward having two national drive shows – one for AFL markets and the other for northern NRL states. The shows will also split across regional markets with JB and Billy creeping into AFL markets outside Victoria.

Nothing new - JB and Billy already go into Wagga, and Mount Gambier (like Adelaide) takes the show 6-7pm.

Just as I predicted.

Watch 4MMM Rush Hour be replaced with 2MMM’s show.

And I’d say regionals will follow.

Does Triple M Hobart also take JB and Billy?

Have noticed 3MMM have had no announcer at all on breakfast the last few mornings. Troy Ellis appeared on 9:00 to 12:00 today and Sean van goff on this arvo.

Haven’t heard Troy doing work days at 3MMM before! Non ratings week I guess. Matty O was filling in for Dangerous Dave earlier in the week.

Rosie Walton was also still doing breakfast earlier in the week with a few guest hosts including Jack Heverin, Tegan Higginbotham and Will Ralston.

Busy day for Triple M Brisbane tomorrow, broadcasting both AFL preliminary final (Geelong v Brisbane) and NRL semi final (Roosters v Sea Eagles). Once the final siren sounds at the MCG for the AFL, Triple M will then cross to Sydney for the NRL, hopefully not missing the 7.50pm kickoff.

I’ve heard Marty joke that at one stage MMM wanted Troy to do a day shift in addition to anchoring breakfast, not sure if that was live or voice tracked. But it didn’t end up happening.

Just got a Facebook ad for this petition… presented without comment

Lol. Have these petitions ever worked?

At most, Hutchy should poach them for SEN SA or Nova for FiveAA.

I wonder if Triple M will keep Greg Blewitt for the cricket in some capacity?

You’d think they’d keep Bernie Vince for the AFL coverage and Greg Blewett for the cricket but only on commentary pay instead of weekday show hosts.

I have read online that Vince and Blewett will be kept for football and cricket coverage, respectively. But no word on Jarman’s future.

Melbourne Radio Wars has suggested that it’ll be Hughesy, Rosie and Daisy next year.

Really? No Kate?

I mentioned earlier in this thread that Kate has no interest in it.
Their show isn’t even the right demographic for Triple M.

I wonder if it was live or recorded. Troy did say on the Marty Sheargold the Friday before the break he was off to New Zealand
