Ah ok so technically the Regionals have the widest variety playlist. So 4 formats in total
Flock of 80’s Friday isn’t on Triple M Perth anymore, YAY! Do any stations still do this?
So who’s the new 3MMM CD?
Definitely not on regionals, 2nd song out of the 2PM news yesterday was by Sonia Dada who to my knowledge didn’t have a charting hit prior to the 90’s.
That’s interesting, I’m sure it was on Sydney / NSW regionals the previous Friday (30th Sept).
Maybe it’s due to Oztober.
But yes, can understand Perth dropping it with their new format.
The biggest question on everybody minds if when will they roll it out to Melbourne & Sydney.
Have been streaming Perth and advertising new line up, breakfast 5:30 to 8:30. Then “the early clock on” non stop music from 8:30 to about 10:00. Then drive with Andrew Embers getting a new co host but can’t be announced yet because coming from another radio station? Interesting
Would/could the 3MMM Melbourne CD changes have anything to do with this? Could they be next?
This Nova-style Triple M could with given they’ve got Marty Sheargold.
Ditto for Victoria. I listened to 3MMM and Triple M Gippsland that previous Friday and they definitely had Flock of 80s on both.
Not sure about the most recent Friday though. But indeed there has been Dave Gleeson Oztober takeovers during the work day on both these metro and regional stations.
Think it was Oztober on Friday. As much as I would like it, doubt they would be rolling out the Perth format out in Melbourne or Sydney
Decided to listen to 92.9 MMM for the work music today - definitely a good change in the format!
Looks as though Katie Lamb from Nova 93.7 will be Rush Hour Perth’s new co-host. Ben Carney was announced as Workday Announcer/Operations Manager for Nova 93.7 too.
Poor form by Triple M Melbourne yesterday. Heard the female announcer say your listening to Sydney’s Triple M 104.9
Yeah I’ve heard both Melbourne and Brisbane station specific voice tracks played in Sydney too.
Triple M breakfast promo with grabs of previous day’s show has them saying ‘won’t take any shit’.
Is that acceptable? Do we need swearing on radio?
With so many positions in the different markets, you do begin to wonder what the Triple M brand actually means
What market? There’s like a 100 of them.
triple meanings
Yes. But I’ve been wondering that since they rolled it out to heritage regional stations like 4GR and 4TO. They are following the textbook on how to trash a brand.
Triple M Perth now playing Something for Kate - Monsters.
Any other Oz stations still playing this track?
Well done again Triple M Perth. An example of how to refresh the M’s brand.
