Not my favourite by any stretch, but geez that’s a rough gig. Screen looks no bigger than 24".
How many times have seven replayed Ariarne’s race? Seems to have been quite a few! Did this happen with Cathy in 2000?
Yes. And they’re still replaying it 21 years later.
Hamish proudly announcing how many Covid protocols he broke today watching the Titmus swim. Seems a bit off given he’s in Sydney?
He’s in Melbourne… but still.
I missed it what did he say?
Oh right. I thought that was Sydney.
Just something along the lines of ‘the amount of Covid protocols I broke today with the 2 ppl I was watching with, hugging and kissing’. Not a big deal I guess. But it was jarring as watching.
He really is just a sleaze.

So he’s back to his crazy antics like what he did with Monika Radulovic back in 2016? He’s just so bad. I reckon he’s only there because of Gillon McLachlan and the AFL which would’ve in some way or the other influenced Seven and their sporting department.
What’s his history? Where was he before 7? It’s like he suddenly appeared about 10 years ago.
He used to work in sports management and in the AFL before Seven. He might be qualified in his area but he sure is sub-par against many others.
McLachlan began working in sports management in 1998, where he worked with Elite Sports Properties (ESP).[1] As general manager of the Events and Entertainment Division, he was involved in a number of different sporting events, including the 2000 Summer Olympics, the 2002 Winter Olympics, the 2002 FIFA World Cup, and the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
In 2004, McLachlan became a director of the AFL Hall of Fame and Sensation exhibition in Melbourne which was placed into administration two months after opening due to severe debt.[1] He had previously co-founded Spyglass Management, which was awarded the licence to operate the Hall of Fame.[2] In November 2004, the Federal Court of Australia described Spyglass Management as “hopelessly insolvent”, with “many creditors, whose debts in aggregate exceed $26 million”.[3]
In 2008, McLachlan joined the Seven Network becoming co-host of AFL Game Day , a new Australian Rules Football review panel television program on Sunday mornings.
So definitely not a broadcaster. No real pedigree in it and it shows. He’s useless. Should’ve stuck to sports management. On what planet did anyone at seven ever thought he was good is beyond me. He’s been shit for years.
You’ve made your point, several times over. Move on.
I think we just have to put up with Hamish as bearable or unbearable as he maybe. The more the people whinge about him won’t convince 7 to change there minds.
Why is almost every single interview out of sync?
Looks like Nine can’t count - 1, 2, 3 then 6 (with lots of empty space underneath!).
Got a chance to sit down and watch some of the gymnastics tonight on 7mate. Then they ended the coverage on that channel and told me to turn to 7, which was all fine, but then on 7 they’re replaying what was,on 7mate about 5-10 minutes ago, compete with the Live watermark, when it clearly wasn’t? Really ruined the vibe.
