Has anyone else noticed the fucking massive delay between vision and audio from Tokyo? It’s so blatantly obvious and jarring. Has to be close to a second. Luckily most athletes are wearing masks so it’s not so obvious.

I don’t get why the shrink the desk? It kinda looks silly because the set is so huge and they use heaps of wide angles.

Is it a different studio, Sydney vs Melbourne?
Seems crazy to change the desk whether it’s 2 or 3 people in studio for one that is almost exactly the same.

Could they not have used some form of set that already exists in Martin Place? Surely they could have come up with something vs just a screen.
They were meant to all be in Melbourne remember. It’s not worth making something quickly when it’s only one shift that has a camera. The 7Mate shifts from Sydney are all audio only.

Watching the Canoe final and there’s a slight delay between seven terrestrial and the live scoring on the Tokyo 2020 App.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but 7 are only commentating on the FTA broadcasts? The multichannels on 7plus are coming straight from OBS.

Honestly, the idiots running their coverage still haven’t learnt anything from that. Who cares about what happened earlier in the day when competitions are happening? No one gives two stuffs about the highlights when you can watch other interesting competitions. Leave the highlights to 7Flix or Plus.
