Thought we may not see 7flix (particularly) used again for a long time, then realised Beijing 2022 is actually not far away, but with the time of year there won’t be any AFL and they’ll have 7Two and 7mate both available if needed.
AFLW and Cricket
Seven have barely shown any live events tonight in prime time. This is beyond a joke now. It’s literally an absolute disgrace. Why give them the rights when they won’t even air live events on the main channel?! 
Well what in the world are they showing right now? Don’t tell me that it’s encores of Australian events.

Seven could have aired the men’s football bronze medal match between Japan and Mexico, or artistic swimming which Australia is taking part in. 7TWO had just shown the women’s hockey final between Netherlands and Argentina.
There was an Aussie in karate tonight they could’ve shown as well. I’m sure we’ll get a replay 4 hours afterwards like we’ve seen for other events 
That’s just flat out false - Seven showed the end of the women’s 20km walk at the beginning of the primetime coverage (ie; 7pm AEST) followed by the cycling men’s sprint finals. After some delayed cycling and the 2nd set of the beach volleyball Bronze Medal game, they then went to the laser run for the women’s modern pentathlon (which was delayed hence the beach volleyball replay) and now they’re onto the athletics.
That’s quite a fair bit of live coverage and definately better than some of the other nights during the past two weeks
This javelin final is not live. It’s delayed by about 3 mins.
Yep - the delay was evident straight away with how Seven were able to jump from the intros straight into the first throw
This is pathetic. It’s annoying it’s a few minutes delayed. Why can’t they air it live. I don’t want to watch on the live stream as that is also slightly delayed by about 1 minute.
I agree/ they’re doing the best they’re can. Coverage on the secondary channel has been good and consistent throughout the games.

They’re now a full round behind on the javelin. Horrendous coverage as per usual from these idiots.
Complain to the ACCC! For what this is costing you, it’s just unacceptable.
I’m surprised that Seven didn’t air the AFL on delay tonight either… lol.
Such a shame that Seven cant show some events live, rather than showing replays of other events. Agree that 7Mate and 7Two are better in showing live coverage overall than Seven’s main channel
I’d just prefer to complain, whinge and vilify on here. It is a media critique forum.
The ratings speak volumes though, they’re only going off that, been the same thing every night this week (evening sesssion) before 8pm hockey / 9pm matildas and 8:15pm athletics has begun.
It’s been a nice idea for workers / kids getting home who might’ve missed the day’s earlier action and medals
