Absolutely makes a big difference, personally I think Jayne has slotted in with the team very well - but I think maybe one of the downfalls of the show is not having natural fill-in presenters when one of the main hosts are away.
IMO people like Charles Croucher, Amelia Adams are great journalists and no discredit to them - not really breakfast TV presenters yet.

Not really a fan of Christine Ahern’s reporting this morning, unnecessarily in the thick of things with the protest in Melbourne and putting herself in the way with her cameraman and clear she has security with her etc.
I mean sure report on it, and get the footage you need but they seem be to keeping on this story for too long and giving these people too much airtime.
Screams very sensationalist from the show.
Edit: I thought it was over, but they wrapped coverage, went to a break and now we’re back there. Move on, seriously.

Worth mentioning that with Today back to its normal start time and with a lead in from early news the program won the 5-city market on Tuesday 213,000 to 207,000 in Total TV. Also had a win in broadcast TV 188,000 to 186,000, winning the 3 east cost markets.

Second consecutive 5-city win for Today and closing the gap on the national average as well.
Today 227,000 Sunrise 213,000 in Total TV - Today also won in broadcast TV 200,000 to 192,000.

Today have some really creative shots and use of the soft set space lately, nice to see them trying new stuff - but their supers etc could really do with a massive update.
