Bec again just presenting sport. Very strange. They persisted for months having Bec and Dickie split on a screen last year. What’s changed? Such a downgrade.

I mean don’t get me wrong, it looked really shit last year and I was the biggest advocate in having the two hosts together so I’m glad Sophie is there with Dickie but can’t they give Bec something else to do until she can return to Sydney? Having one of your hosts downgraded so very obviously isn’t a good look.
Surprised she isn’t being used for Melbourne afternoon news or something. Maybe will be more when Brett leaves for Europe.
Maybe they should just wave the white flag and remove Bec from the program permanently? There’s just too much uncertainty with outbreaks and border closures happening quite frequently.
Replace Bec with Sophie Walsh, and when Sylvia Jeffreys finishes her maternity leave she can take over the hosting chair.

Sophie and Sylvia and move Richard on finally to doing entertainment reports for the news/location stuff again.
It was strange. In one of the news bulletins she presented the Victorian headline (“Happening now in Victoria …” but not the report - it was done by Izabella Staskowski.

MY IDEA:
Charles Croucher & Sophie Walsh/or Sylvia Jeffreys should be weekend hosts replacing Dickie & Bec.
Today Extra and Today stay the same hosts. Dickie gets entertainment role for the Nine Network including Today, 9News, A Current Affair & 60 Minutes. Bec gets a presenter role and sports reporter within the network in Melbourne.

After Weekend Today won Sunday’s ratings, Today recorded its highest ratings for the year yesterday picking up extra viewers mainly in Sydney. It was the highest result since the US Presidential election.
