A different story in Perth tonight, no mention of the axing. Adelaide did the right thing informing their loyal viewers of the programme’s cancellation.
I’ve got no doubt that seven is planning on moving Home & Away from the 7pm timeslot. I can see a new national current affairs show launching in that space.
They’ll start their primetime shows at 7pm and move H & A
No they want. They’ve tested that, and it doesn’t work.
It was probably pre-recorded.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the Spencer Gulf/Broken Hill with the Local News as this was on instead of Today Tonight.
I’ve got every doubt.
Well, there’s always The Morning Show and Daily Edition
Really hoping that her redundancy haunts 7 Perth in the future, such a stupid decision for someone winning there timeslot.
It’s really baffling why they couldn’t have found another role for her (eg; presenting the 4pm bulletin like Rosanna Mangiarelli does in SA)
He should have asked one of the sacked journalists to help him write that.
I think this change will see the gap between Seven and Nine News get closer. Some viewers may respond by “boycotting” the network and moving their viewership over to Nine/10.
It’s possible she didn’t want another role, and opted for a payout instead…
My humble thoughts: This may not have any short term damage, but it could hurt them down the track when the head news team retires.
They really are putting all their eggs into one aging basket.
Alot of Perth people have never like Monica
Not likely in my life time
The ratings suggest that a lot of people like/don’t mind her enough to watch…
