So now that we know that works, they can move David Campbell to Today and move Karl on.

If Today can’t make significant inroads now on Sunrise, it certainly questions why they have been so desperate to cling on to him for so long and at such a handsome salary.

I wonder if they gone off this idea given others have been filling in on Today recently instead.

Alex Cullen appeared on the couch to discuss news stories today.

Today Extra won yesterday’s ratings by 7k. May have been associated with the last start for the show after the ICAC findings delayed the finish of Today. The swon won the 3 east coast markets. The late part of the show was 40k ahead of TMS Extra.

  1. The old “9” only mic seen there. Now four iterations of the mic are around (.com.au, 9 News, and Sam Djordan’s sock)
  2. Tom has Dickie heavily under his spell.

Some big ratings for breakfast TV including a 2023 high for Today flowed through to Today Extra that has a 10k win of TMS with big wins in Melbourne and Brisbane helping the total.

Today extra had a 1k win over TMS. Thursdays seem to be a good day for the show for some reason. The show won all markets except Perth that helped keep TMS competitive.
