Karl will be on the NRL flashback special tomorrow night. Whether he’s in studio or not? I’m sure they pre record it during the day so he’ll be around

I’ve got PTSD from enduring the torrent of stories about Karl’s soap opera life over the past few years. I picked up the Tele this morning at the servo and let out a snort of derisive laughter when I read the PTSD claim.
The guy is inviting scorn and ridicule with stupid statements like that. I thought the plan was for him to keep his head down and the stories about his private life out of the headlines?

Yes. You’d think he would make sure not to talk about himself or his private life to media, ever again. I guess some people never learn. They use the media to promote themselves, then pour scorn on it when they start delving into parts of their life they’re not happy to share.

By the looks of things, it’s the typical ‘all talk, no action’
This morning:
In my opinion, this is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) problems with Weekend Today. This is the first half hour of the network’s breakfast show, not Today Extra.
I completely understand that is the weekend (so a bit looser), and that is does provide a little “escape” from the depressing news, but this is not OK IMO. And as long as this continues, Weekend Today will never top the ratings.

Just read the Stellar story. He didn’t really say anything that we don’t already know. There’s definitely a disconnect with him now but I feel like its more to do with the people around him “protecting him and his image” than anything.
I agree here. Sunrise’s strength is they are more “newsy” than Today. I prefer the Today team but turn to Sunrise if I need to know the latest developments.

It’s quite interesting because only a few years ago people would say Today was better with the news and that Sunrise was more lighter.
