Today they basically I’d an advertorial for the RSL art union disguised as a segment. Yesterday’s entertainment segments were basically promos for content on Stan.
Only yesterday? Thought I’ve seen some of those promos on Today before.
While l do agree Belinda Russell has improved immensely in recent years, personally l agree with @David in saying that Lara Vella or Davina Smith would be ideal replacements for Tracy Vo.
But the network could suprise us again in choosing someone from another state.

As much as I would like Sylvia to return to Today, I fear that is she does, it would become too much “Stefanovic and extras”, which I for one do not want to see return. Because Pete works on Sky in the mornings, I doubt she would want to go back to Today.
Alternatively, I think Belinda Russell would be really good as newsreader, or otherwise Lara or Davina would be just fine.

I wasn’t a big fan of Sylvia as a news presenter but she’s a good presenter on lighter formats like Today Extra and she has great chemistry with David Campbell.
Plus the idea of her returning to Today (main show) is just going to fuel gossip about ‘Sylvia gets newsreader role back because of her brother in-law’ crap, which is the last thing the show needs. They need to keep her at Today Extra and bring someone new to the role. I wouldn’t mind Jayne, Lara, Davina or Belinda.
