They’re all gone anyway. There is no one at the desk right now who has been replaced so it wouldn’t be awkward or insulting at all.
They gotta promote this sometime.

No I’m just saying thats all the media are gonna focus on and continue to bring up the past cause they have a one sentence new story and they have to fill up a whole page.
Today has changed their profile picture on Facebook.
An orange logo on a white background must be the go next year. The “pineapple” logo must be going.
I like it.
He wasn’t referring to the network, he was referring to the sunrise family. It’s TV people come and go all the time some not the individuals choice
That’s completely different though and has no relevance to breakfast tv.
How many goes did it take for Sunrise (or Seven at breakfast time) to be a winner? Pell seems to have a short memory.
Very GMA/Morning Wars-esque
I like the new look, interesting to see how it translates on-air.
The logo looks a bit pixelated in the Facebook cover image.
@Syd_TVChannel I was thinking that also
I’m sorry but does no one else find Michael Pell’s insistent public comments against a rival to be unprofessional and catty? This is the umpteenth time that he has taken such liberty with making hasty comments about Today. Today is bad all on its own without his behavior. It’s incredibly immature.
Yes. A few large clients of mine were always weary of advertising on Sunrise because they saw it as “insular”, arrogant and polarising. The things you can get away with when you’re the incumbent
Trying to insert himself to the narrative and make himself relevant.
Pell’s direct quote is “that culture of sacking people they have at Nine”. Not Today, but Nine.
I’m no defender of Nine – far from it – but it’s fair game to call out Seven for the MKR stuff, culling current affairs and employing an (alleged) war criminal as it is to highlight Nine sacking everyone at Today, the ‘family’ at 60 Minutes orchestrating to pinch kids overseas, the Uber debacle and any other stupid move they’ve made in the last 3 or 4 years.
There are no clean hands in that business and Pell is well aware of it
I also guarantee you if it was the other way around he would do what he could to get back on top.
Just don’t say there are also major problems with Ten (especially how they operate their news/current affairs department) in the relevant threads, because we know how that doesn’t go down well with some members!
I agree with your overall point, of course.
I absolutely love the new look, but I can’t stand how the line and the “y” awkwardly meet, this has been my pet peeve for a number of years now
I, for one, look forward to the annual Today show bloodbath in the same way some look forward to a new instalment in the Saw series of films. Infinitely gory but you just can’t resist peeking through your fingers as the horror unfolds.
They must’ve run out of pineapples. Understandable considering how many have received the rough end of the pineapple on that show in recent times.
It’s only fair Nine’s graphic designers take some inspiration for the new Today design from the team who created The Morning Wars opening sequence considering dotty makes a cameo appearance in it. I watch those opening titles just to see dotty. I wonder how far Nine’s designers will go in emulating those opening titles?
News.com.au understands Jacobs, who is currently in Antarctica, was blindsided by yesterday’s announcement by Nine.
In a statement, the network said that Jacobs “will be leaving the Today team but may work on future projects with the network”.
Must be shooting a story?
