Today improved 20k for Thursday from Wednesdayâs year-low. For the second day in a row Brisbane was the showâs highest rated market with the show winning in Brisbane by <1,000.

IMO if Karl does come back, he has to be ALL in, not essentially phoning it in like I felt he was last year. He has to be willing to have fun, have those serious conversations and conduct meaningful interviews for the show. Not going away for a week every month.
He has to remind Australia why we feel in love with him in the first place (not literally!) back in 2009-15.

I think I remember Ali and Karl hosting a show during Harry and Meghanâs wedding last year. Anyone got any footage? Iirc their banter was pretty good

If they want Karl on Breakfast, they should take a risk, ditch the Today brand and relaunch as GMA or something new, itâs the only way to leave the past in the past.
I personally think they would be better pairing Ali with her Husband than Karl!

Seems like a pointless (and costly) exercise when Karl was the co-host of Today for almost 14 years. He will always have the Today show associated with his image/name and even if the show were to undergo a complete rebrand, I doubt that it would encourage viewers to change their existing viewing habits. Talk about putting lipstick on a pig. The issues that people have with the show would still remain; it would just be under a different name. It wouldnât change anything.

No decisions have been finalised. No contracts have been signed. Plus, isnât the relocation not until mid-2020?

Itâs a genius move thought. brand new set, location but some old faces re-instated. I would say put Tom on sport (or get rid of him) and bring back Natalia or even Sylvia.
